Working on HBO’s Lovecraft Country was a remarkable experience. I was lucky enought to play a crucial role at multiple stages of the project, from initial research through to the final polished creation.

Acting as an art dept lead, one of my many responsibilities was to ensure the sets we created were both culturally and narratively accurate, down to the smallest detail.

This required a great deal of research and planning to ensure cultural authenticity.

Much of the show’s subject matter centered around extremely pivotal historical events, such as the Tulsa Massacre of 1921 - making it vital that we faithfully portray this vastly underreported event to the public.

Hidden “Easter Eggs” were extremely important to the show’s creators. I was tasked with designing and drawing these throughout the episodes, all of which had to strictly adhered to the show’s lore.
